Canada Water at last
It was good to get out today and do some of my taxi knowledge runs. After feeling pretty crappy this week I have not been out as I planned. I needed to take my partner and daughter to Paddiington Station so that was all the impetus I needed, even though I was slightly hungover.
First of all I wanted to call a good run from home to Paddington so I went through Muswell Hill, Archway, Junction Road, Camden Road, Hampstead Road then the Euston Road and Old Marylebone Road and into Sussex Gardens.
It seems a good run to me. The other way would be to take the North Circ and then the Edgware Road, longer in distance but maybe quicker on a Sunday morning? I may try it later when I have to go back.
Once I dropped them off I went over to Arlington Street and then did some runs over to South London. Apart from a couple of small mistakes at Ebury Bridge and Peckham Park Road I was able to get the runs done without any problems. I did start a run from the Barbican to Mile End Station but forgot about the Sunday market at Petticoat Lane.
I did also find all my points around Cannon Wharf Business Park on Evelyn Street that I had checked on Google Maps. I am going to continue to use that approach for the rest of the 80 runs in my book. I had a good drive around Rotherhithe and got to see the infamous Canada Water. It is a private joke that Athina has with her friends and she wanted to come along with me but she is away. Hopefully she can make it when I do a run soon from Beaumont Square to Cannon Wharf.
